Dexcel Ltd and Agricultural Software Ltd (ASL) are happy to announce that they have recently agreed to jointly develop and deliver software tools to New Zealand dairy farmers. Combining their expertise of software development and dairy farming, the parties’ objective is to develop a range of software tools that will deliver Dexcel’s knowledge in a very practical way, helping farmers increase their productivity.
The joint-venture's goal for the coming years is to redefine the standard for on-farm tools, Chris Folkers, director of ASL says.“Too many tools out there are expensive and not being used, because they are too difficult and have not been developed in tight cooperation with the user” “In addition to that, the various tools do not share their data, so users will have to re enter the same details every time they use different software package”.
Dexcel and ASL will develop a suite of tools that can be easily used by farmers to help them increase their farm profit. And Dexcel and ASL tools will share their data where possible.
Dexcel and ASL are therefore very excited to announce the first product in this suite: a new and improved version of FeedPlan, the highly successful feed budgeting tool.
