Established
February 1, 2001 as a commercial trust by the New Zealand Dairy Board,
Dexcel incorporates the former Dairying Research Corporation
(DRC) and the Consulting Officer Service of Livestock Improvement
Corporation (LIC).
Dexcel is accountable for leading the drive to improve the competitive position
of New Zealand dairy farmers, and will play a pivotal role in achieving the
dairy industry's 4% on-farm productivity improvement target. It will coordinate
production research and development, undertake whole-farm systems research and
ensure the knowledge gained from that research is taken up on farms.
